Ref 2.14

Normal$ works.Selected$ works.Inactive$ is always ignored and has no effect on an inactive menu
item.Background$ does weird stuff that I can't make any sense of yet! I think it's maybe justmeant to
contain embedded commands. But the cursor appears to be set to the end ofthe menu item and one
line down. The resulting displayed text is then not cleared fromthe screen.
